First Visit:
Your first visit focuses on understanding your health issue and getting to know your personal situation through conversation. A shorter treatment will also be provided, allowing you to leave relaxed, with a personalized tea for you.
Follow-Up Sessions:
In follow-up sessions, I focus entirely on making progress and you receive treatment for most of our time together. During this treatment, I remain in the room, actively engaging with needles or bodywork to influence your system to change. Towards the end of your visit, you will have time to relax, feel the changes, and safely transition back into your day.
The strength of Chinese medicine lies in its pragmatic flexibility. It is possible to make progress without using acupuncture, by employing other methods such as bodywork and herbal formulas.
While most techniques will feel gentle and mainly pleasant, some may involve short periods of intensity, particularly in the orthopedic area. Through careful diagnosis, palpation, and our ongoing dialogue, I ensure that the right level of intensity is applied at all times.
People choose to work with me because of the results they get and the way they can receive treatment types and styles that fit into their life.

My own journey into Chinese medicine began with a single treatment, a chance encounter that sparked my interest and set me on this path.
In 2012, while backpacking in Nicaragua, I had the opportunity to experience a treatment from a practitioner and teacher of Chinese medicine. Impressed by the results and the way it made me feel, I delved into research to deepen my understanding.
Between 2012 and 2017, my focus shifted towards learning and exploring various Eastern styles of massage and bodywork. This exploration included practical aspects as the concepts, philosophies and history behind these practices.
My previous studies in Western philosophy proved invaluable in grasping the intricacies of Eastern approaches.
In the midst of many marketing claims, Western pop-psychology, and mystical Orientalism, I found both comfort and clinical efficacy in the pragmatism of classical Chinese medicine, which is based on observing nature.
People often ask if Chinese medicine can help with their particular situation. However, offering a reliable response requires considering the individual's circumstances.
The World Health Organization (WHO), founded in 1948, recognizes the benefits of Chinese medicine for an increasing number of conditions, including:
Because Chinese medicine was the standard of care in the past, many conditions are listed as treatable in classical literature.
While treatment aims to provide relief and improvement, it does not guarantee a cure. The focus of this studio is on facilitating improvement. If it is determined that your condition cannot be effectively treated here, this will be communicated to you transparently.
Just as importantly, your quality of life and everyday experience can still be greatly enhanced even if the treatment is not aimed at a cure.
A treatment plan is created for each patient, with markers and targets to ensure that we are always focused on tangible outcomes.
If you are already receiving Western medical treatment , I can communicate with your doctor and adapt my treatment to support theirs.
I will create a personalized treatment plan for you, considering your specific issue and personal schedule. In some cases, treatments will produce fast results, while in others, a longer sustained effort is required. Regardless of the situation, I expect my patients to improve along the way.
The various methods at my disposal allow me to manage intensity and ensure each treatment has a noticeable impact. The best way to find out what is right for you is to book a Chinese medicine consultation and to have a conversation about our possibilities.
